Ace frontline starter? Can I expect this throughout the year?

I think he's an Ace frontline starter but I don't think you can expect this throughout the year. First of all, he's been Bob Gibson good so far so there will eventually be some regression as hitters see more tape. Secondly, he only pitched about 150 innings last year so it's not like the Reds are going to let him get to 200 or more this year. Assuming he stays effective and with the team having post season aspirations, they will probably try to scale back his innings during the season to keep him available for the playoffs.

I think he will struggle second time through, has a great fastball, but no other plus pitches as far as I know. He is deceptive, but likely to be exposed once MLB hitters have had a good chance to size him up. Still a solid 2/3 when the year is all said and done, but I don't see him maintaining ace status
