I just was offered a trade that I am interested in, and sceptical about at the same time...
I would receive: Edward Mujica JIm Henderson
trading away: Clayton Kershaw
I am doing good on SP, so I can afford to trade Kershaw... but...I am pretty desperate for Saves right now.
I am sceptical because I do not know how long Henderson or Mujica will keep the closers job... Axford might come back anyday, and Mujica doesn't really have the typical closers repertoire...but that changeup is nasty!
what do you all think?
thanks David

I think it's doubtful I'd trade a top of the rotation stud like Kershaw for two established closers, much less these two options. Both the closers you mentioned are not the team's first choice for the job so if the true closer regains his form or comes back from injury, you will end up with a middle reliever. I'd offer a much lesser starter and perhaps simply try to acquire only one closer for now. Then, scour the waiver wire for any potential high K set up men who might move into a closing gig should the current closer become ineffective or injured. They are out there, you just have to choose wisely and get a bit lucky.

No / No / No...I wouldn't trade Kershaw for Kimbrel and Chapman, let alone two guys just picked off the waiver wire. Kershaw is right there with Verlander as the best pitcher in baseball, with the NL advantage, do not even consider trading him to fix your closer situation

HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would not deal Kershaw for 30 closers. Even the top 30 of all time.
