What's going on with this guy? Can I still be comfortable that he will be a solid BA and 40 plus steal guy this year or is he going to lose his job? I thought he was a sure thing when I drafted him.

He's only 25 years old so we don't have much of a track record to go on. Last year his BABIP was .325. While not astronomical by any means, it was 32 points higher than what he exhibited the season before. Therefore, we don't know that he's truly a .325 BABIP kind of guy. His speed should suggest he can maintain a higher BABIP simply by beating out what would ordinarily be an out for a lesser speed player. Perhaps the change of scenery hasn't worn well on him and/or he's still getting used to learning about a whole new set of opposing pitchers. The speed is for real so it's way too early to give up on him.

He is back at the top of the lineup the past few games. Hitting better now also.
