I have received three trade offers from a guy in my league that are similar in nature, either sending Carlos Gonzalez or Chris Davis to him. As an O's fan, I am loath to trade Davis, but anyone else on the team I could part with. As a guy who likes winning, I'm not trading CarGO unless I'm packaging him with another player for Miggy. The league is 5x5 standard Roto mixed (not a Keeper or Dynasty), and I'm on pace to finish between 86-89 points out of 100. He has no way of catching me unless this trade is approved. The last offer was the following:
I give up Carlos Gonzalez and Manny Machado
for
Jose Iglesias, Wil Myers, Anthony Rendon, Jason Heyward, and Jeff Locke.
In order to make this trade happen, I would have to drop Omar Infante, Gerardo Parra, and my worst starter (Samardzija/Garza/Colon, roll a die).
I have my opinion on this, and I have been impartial so as not to "persuade the jury." With that said, I would love to hear some opinions about this offer.
Thanks,
Andrew

This is a no-brainer rejection. You are giving up the TWO best players in the trade. I wouldn't entertain this offer for a second and in fact this trade would be a veto if it were going the other way. The only way this trade would make any sense for anyone would be if the Gonzalez/Machado owner were out of contention, it was a keeper league, Gonzo and Machado were not keepers and Myers and Rendon were and for cheap.
